Saturday June 5, 2021 Norwalk Yacht Club
Registration via: YachtScoring.com

History
The Corinthians Single-Handed Race has been sailed in western Long Island Sound since 1946 and is open to all yachtsmen.
This race is designed to test one's skill at managing the boat and to prove the necessity of having competent crew aboard at all other times.
The race is for all single-hulled yachts, at least twenty feet LOA, auxiliary powered, and having a self-bailing cockpit and lifelines.
Yachts must be designed, constructed, rigged, and equipped in a manner conducive to safe and comfortable overnight cruising.
The Race Committee reserves the right to rule on the eligibility of any yacht.
The Single-Handed Division prohibits additional crew and the Double-Handed Division is limited to the skipper and one crew.
Both Divisions prohibit the use of spinnakers, gennakers, whisker poles, electric winches, or self-steering devices
except to lock the helm while tacking.

Location and Time
The race will start in the vicinity of Cable and Anchor Reef R28C Bell due south of Sheffield Island, Norwalk, CT.
The registered yacht with the highest PHRF handicap rating will start at 11:00 AM.
Subsequent yachts will start based on PHRF handicap rating from highest to lowest in a “pursuit race" format.
The length of the course will be from four to twelve nautical miles depending on the weather.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three boats in each Division.
The winner of the SingleHanded Race will also receive a perpetual trophy presented at The Corinthians' annual awards party.
